Found this 1.25” bottle bottom today. Very unusual size and color. Any info on what it was used for and when would be so appreciated.
Try some image searches on variations of phrase: "antique smelling salts bottle" to see if you can spot approximate same color as well as size in round (cylindrical) bottles. I know that quite a few were produced in the same size range, though most were a shade of green that I would call Emerald Green. Contrariwise, I've seen photos of teal green, but usually in a different shape.Found this 1.25” bottle bottom today. Very unusual size and color. Ty!There's so much wear it's tough to tell.. that might be a pontil scar?? Pontils were used up to about 1865. I wouldn't date this bottle after 1900 but without seeing more it's tough to say.
