Here's a few that I pulled out on my last dig. No super bottles but I still had fun. The first one is a mini bottle still locked in the matrix. Makes ya wanna rip it right out and clean it up and toss it over your shoulder. I think it looks quite nice as a mantle piece as is. A mini, natural work of art.

And here's a local commoner. At least this one doesn't have any cracks or dings this time.

This little Mulford jar still has the original lid on it but its in really rough shape. Should I attempt to clean it up and take it off. I'm afraid the cap will disintegrate but inside the bottle is a mess. What should I do.

Anyways, on to the 1858.

Well maybe I'll have a better story line next time. This was your basic, I went, I dug, I got dirty, I went home and cleaned the bottles the next day kinda trip. Swiz

Cool stuff! As for the Mulford jar, I'd have to look at the bottle in person and then decide what I'd want to do with it. They are common, so I might just go for attempting to get the cap off. What is the cap made of?

The cap on the Mulford looks like its made out of zinc. I'm thinking that its coming off so I can clean it out. I'll try to save it but once I have it off if it breaks in 2 then in the trash can it goes.

Joe, the swirly guy is a M. Salzman whiskey bottle. Really cool looking bottle and probably one of our best looking 1880-1900's local. If you're interested in one I'll send you the next one I dig. Who knows when that'll be though. Maybe in time for your next b-day. [:D]
