It's been a while since I posted any new additions to my collection. Here are a few that I have acquired recently. First is a large (10") Lewistown Bottling Works tooled crown beer in amber. This is Lewistown's only amber bottle, and I have only ever seen two of them. The color is great, it's a bright orange-amber.

Here is a close-up of the slug plate. While I'm partial to the earlier pony and tall blob bottles, I love a good, rare and colored local tooled crown any day.

Here is a dose cup from Andrew P. Martin, a Lewistown druggist in the 1880s and 90s. While I have several of his bottles, I never even knew of a Martin dose cup to exist until I was offered this one. Sweet!

Here is a very tough to find quart milk from Lauver Brothers dairy, which was located just outside of my home town of Burnham, near Lewistown.

I LOVE good Lewistown bottles! Thanks to everyone who keeps an eye out for them for me. I try to do the same for my fellow collectors, and have helped two forum members recently by finding a good local bottle for each of them. I hope to find a few more new goodies for myself soon, either by digging into the ground or digging into my cash stash. Either way is cool, as long as I'm getting good local glass for the shelves. ~Jim

That "Mrs." blob is front and center, I see! Very nice display, I like it. I'm partial to locals myself, I just don't have a very good place to display them yet...

Thanx, Connor. Local beers, sodas and medicines are my collecting passion.

Yep, that's Mrs. Bossinger front and center. If Mr. Martin, Mr. Wentz, Mr. Soult/ Mr. Zerbe or anyone else decides to get rowdy, she keeps them in line so nobody gets cracked or broken [:D] That display is in my walnut sideboard in the dining room. It has two small cabinets on top that are perfect for small bottle displays. I have my druggists and dose cups in the other one. ~Jim

Thanks, Joe. It is greatly appreciated. I keep my eye out for Bradford stuff for you, too. You never know what could have ended up where, and the more "eyes" we have out looking for what we want, the better the chances that we'll find out about it. ~Jim
