Good afternoon fellow glass nerds. I recently bought this litha water bottle to add to my water collection and next to my bottle I already own , something looks off about it. The new one is lacking detail in the woman sitting. Her hair has lines in my original bottle the outline is sharper and the top is a little different. Is it a fake or my original a fake? Or they just from different time periods my original is on the right

I honestly don't know, but the one I dug has faint embossing. Searching on this forum, it looks like Italy made some modern reproductions.

Definitely not a reproduction. Just a different mold...also the one on the left has an applied lip and the one on the right a tooled lip.

Other factors to consider are glass temperature or consistency, mold temperature or condition, lehr temperature or the blower himself, any of which could contribute to the lack of detail on a handblown bottle.

So doing a little thread surfing on here last night found out there are many varieties of this bottle including mold color and and embossing. Now my question is are there two sought after versions ?
