I have been having mixed luck with bottle hunting lately, adding a layer of leaves has made things challenging.
Today I got lucky, I was walking around my usual dumpy place bottle hunting, when I felt my footstep sink about 1 foot into the ground more than it should have. I dug around and found this:
I have found Schwarzenbach brewing bottles before, but never in this size. It's huge! It's maybe 32 oz?
It's believe it's circa 1906-1920 given the crown cap and the fact that this brewer was out of business in 1920 and the town had a slightly different name until 1906 (there are bottles with the older name out there, I've had a couple)
The crown cap would have been somewhat new at the time. I think this bottle was made with some sort of early machine? Here's the base:
