Can't say if I've seen one like your bottle before or not, Larry. It reminds me in ways of both the Old Continental Whiskey and the Constitution Bitters. Great work on the part of the mould maker.
Are figures on each of the arched panels or is one blank for a label? I'm assuming there's no embossing to be found on it?
There are 6 panels and each panel has a priest on it in a different position, presumably a catholic religious activity. A while back I did an irtenrnes each and I did have a pictuire of one come up but there wasn't any information associated with it. I assume it is probably from Europe? IDK.....
I agree that it does have the same feel as the Constitution Bitters.
Might be, but I was thinking American. Great bottle regardless. I never hesitate to reach out to Hagenbuch or Heckler when I hit a roadblock. Those two have seen a lot of bottles in their lifetimes.
Wow, can't say Ive ever seen that bottle before, its freaking amazing. Ive seen a couple of figural religious bottles like the Virgin Mary. Most that I've seen seem to come from Mexico from the early 1900's. This one looks to be about 1880 or so. Not sure if its American or not.
