Aloha Everyone: I took some well needed time off from work and went bottling 4 days, 3 times probing in the mud and one time up in the hills on the North Shore of Oahu, sun burnt tired but had a great time with my digging partner...found a few keepers, weather was awesome!!!

Here's a couple of soda's that I found in the mud...the E.P.CO EWA that I posted earlier and a EWA BOTTLING WORKS H.T. that I found a few days later...

On Wednesday I got the call from my friend and he said the dig in the hills was a go, he got the permission to go up the private property cattle ranch to look for bottles in the ravines, the dump is a little newer I would date it from around 1915 and up the place is known for common and rare machine sodas, milks and oriental bottles, I did not care if it was newer dump, just getting away up in the hills was a nice way to spend a day...1938 map of the camp....

Bottles was scattered everywhere, it was over-whelming where to dig...the cattle and the wild pigs exposed a lot of bottles, we hiked around all morning just surface searching...here's a picture of a Waialua machine soda from the 20's just sitting partially exposed...

After hiking around all morning we ate lunch, I wanted to dig so after lunch we decided to check out a couple of areas that I though would be a good places to dig, the first place I dug wasn't to good so I went to another area that had a lot of broken glass, I dug up on the side of the hill and punched a hole down and to my surprise there was a nice rust layer and a lot of whole bottles, it went down around 4 feet, unfortunately we was running out of time and I was not able to finish the dig, when we left I was still pulling out whole bottles, I told my friend that the next time if we have the chance to go there we should start digging there where we left off... I did find a few keepers...
