My digging buddy scored a long awaited beauty yesterday. I found two chards over the last four years we dug there. We didn't find very much, but this one was worth the wait. There is about four feet of water where we usually dig so we went to another end of the dump and dug near the sides. We were down about ten feet and there it was two foot down from the top. Most of the time there is nothing but a seven foot ash layer ontop,. We found several local blobs and a few local milks, but mostly run of the mill stuff.
