Hi everyone,

I picked up this little 6 sided, teal colored bottle at an antique shop for $4. Along with the lop-sided neck, it has a smooth bottom and stands 2 3/4" tall, flat to flat distance of 1 1/2", and a fairly thick lip. Looks to me like an unguent or salve container. Any other ideas ?

indeed it does Gunth, but whats the name I'm looking for.

Not sure, Palmer Company made a lot of the odd green color bottles.
I dont remember seeing one of those with a label so i dont know if its Crown, Palmer, Larkin, or some other perfumer.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies. It has the "feel" and heft of something older that Palmolive or Colgate, but maybe it is !

Colgate was a big time perfumer but I cant remember seeing any green salts from them. Possible, I cant say one way or another.

I'd lay a dollar down that it held Orange/citrus scented smelling salts. I have that bottle, dug it, with the orig green stopper, and full of orange scented salt crystals. My digging bud dug the exact match to mine not 2' away from where I dug mine.

Ours is not nearly so crude and sloppy though. Mine is smooth based, buddy's has one centered "dot" on the bottom, but his has the stopper & orange salts too. I was told $30-$35 by a bottle nut I know, but that's just his personal opinion. But he does make money buying and selling, been doing it for a long time. I bet one of you know him...Clark is his name...
