I found a Blown in Mold, crown top bottle with "The Capitol Bottling Works Inc. Richmond, VA" embossed/molded in raised letters on the face and "1907" embossed on the smooth base. How can I get more information about this bottle?
Hello and Welcome to Antique-Bottles.Net and the forum -
I'm a digger near Richmond and we dig these every now and then. Bottled In Richmond 1819 - 1920 By Vernon Grant (1st ed.) lists this bottling company on page 33 like this:
CAPITOL BOTTLING WORKS
1907-1909 416 E. Marshall St.
1910-1912 1 1/2 W. Marshall St.
Oh, excellent. Thanks for replying. If I remember correctly, I dug this up in Hanover county several years ago. I'll use the information you provided to do more research. I think it is a soda bottle?
