Found this cool bottle partly exposed. Quite amazed it survived the equipment.

Any thoughts on it would be great. Where is it from etc?

Howzit Roc'... Great to see you are still finding some local stuff. I haven't been digging lately. Just spending time with dad in the mountains hunting. Aloha!

Found a little pocket with a few bottles but most were slicks and commons scattered around. Really hard to pick and dig with all this construction work. everything is tossed and turned and pushed and smashed! [:(]

The round bottom Grant soda has a Ameican look to it, but I could be wrong.

There was a J. B. Grant on Maui between 1884 and 1890. This would match the age of the bottle, but this is no smoking gun.

Wow Tod, now that would be something. How did you come across J.B. Grant in Hawaii?

I will see what I can find.

I find alot of mentions of a J.B. Grant on Kauai as a Post Master and a member of the Kauai Kodak Klub in the late 1880-90's...
