Hey all, I found this structure after digging out a large square of dairy glass infested dirt. This is way out in the woods, signs of early habitation are numerous around this site. I'm just not sure if its a cellar wall or something. It seems to big for a privy, though I did not dig it all the way out. The thing is that I thought that I had already located the footprint of the original home. Who knows? The bricks on one side are stacked normal and sealed with a cement or parging material after the top three rows. The facing corner wall is the same except that the bricks on the top layer are laid at a slanting angle downward, as if for easement of moving things in and out or dumping into. I, unfortunately, cannot return to this site so it must remain a mystery. A shame because it was starting to yield some real promising local shards around 2 ft. in. Any guesses on what the structure may have been? --Joe
