I found one of those at a flea market in Houston about 8 years ago and bought it for $50. Iron pontil, cobalt blob top, near mint. I didn't know how rare they are so I put it on ebay starting at 49.99 with no reserve. Some NC collectors emailed me wanting to Buy it Now and one was honest enough to inform me that a dug specimen had sold at a bottle show for over a grand. I let the auction run and it sold for over $1200. The NC collectors were too tight to buy it, the bottle went to Oregon.
Some of you who have been around awhile might remember that. I don't know what it would sell for now, maybe less because nobody seems to have any money to spend on bottles with the economy the way it is.
