I dug this one up nearly a year ago and I have found no info what-so-ever! It's a Pepsi Cola bottle, but it doesn't say that on the bottle except the base. Here's a pic of the full bottle.

The only embossing on the bottle is 'J'. I think the 'J' means Jessup, but I'm not sure. I believe Jessup was a manufacturer of Pepsi in Charlottesville, VA. This is a close-up to the J.

This is the base. It says Charlottesville - Pepsi Cola - Keystone- VA. I can't even find a picture on it, let alone any info! I have a feeling it's rare (at least I hope). Thanks guys!

I'm guessing it's a later Jessup after he had established himself and his business to the point where just a "J" on the neck was enough to identify the bottle... Can't wait to see what 'those in the know' know...[;)]

Pepsi:Cola Bottle Collector's Guide Volume I (James C. Ayers, 1995) lists it as Char15. 1930's. They don't specify that it is or isn't a Jessup's bottle, but I would say chances are pretty good. It is listed as common, and I have seen a few of them here and there over the years.

I don't have the up-to-date value list, but the 1998 value was given as $45.

Considering the last two sold on Ebay brought $7.50 and $10.50 I'd say the market is really soft... I'd never pay what most of the guides 'value' bottles at personally...
