My buddy Chuck, who lives in Nova Scotia but is 2.5 hour drive from me , found this yesterday on top of a ash pile while searching for an old dump. Dimensions 2 7/8 " high , 2 3/4 " wide on the bottom. He thinks the top was broken off. Any info will be passed on to him. Thanks.[attachment=007.JPG] [attachment=009.JPG] [attachment=010.JPG]

Very nice, looks pretty early but I am no expert on insulators.

Many thanks fella's. Yes Tallboy the insulator is unmarked. Chuck and I do not know much about insulators but we do know that the threadless type are the early ones, that's why I posted it. Too bad it is broken but that is the way it is with most glass we find in these parts. He was going to remove the wire but I told him to leave it.He did dig and search the ash pile but there were no more to be found.I will pass on the info.
