Finally a nice digging day,got out with Snakeboy to last years Dump #1.
This is a dump on a private estate, but we have permission to dig,I discovered it when it was just a beaver meadow in 1970.
At that time I got a bit of stuff out of it,some nice Gingers,Crocks and Sodas, but then was told to move on by the owner.
So here I am 35 years later, when we started last year it was like I'd never left,no one had dug it.We took a lot out last year, but we keep going back.
And today told us it was still giving up its treasures.

Awesome finds [8D]! Thanks for sharing. Is this site an old city or private dump? Seeing your great finds really motivates me to keep at it. THANKS...

Hey Kelley,
the jug dates around 1890.We're heading back tomorrow so I 'll probably have more pics.

Hey diggermeister,
It is a small village dump, and in the early teens was on the shore of a large pond.no pond there now just the earthen dam.
We're also down about 8' in spots.

Like Kelley, I too like the Greybeard jug. Congratulations on the photographs, they are very interesting. A mate of mine tells me that he has already started, or is about to start digging for the first time this year, in Connecticut (sp?). Due to the thaw.

We do not get that type of weather over here. To give you an idea of where we are digging over here in South Australia, see these two URL's: -

All the best...hope you can get back as often as you wish...Tandy.
