Spend a few hours digging today. Went to a couple of places. Ended up digging in the coal ash beneath a vacant church down the street. Found a few bottles, lots of pieces. Check out this ink and the medicine. Anyone willing to balpark the age of the ink. Very uneven, out of round, with hand-rolled lip. Lots of character.

Rrey,
Hard to get any idea of size from the pictures, but your 'ink' looks like an early pill or salve bottle.I have a few about 2 1/2" tall, including a couple embossed,'cheeseborough-ponds','vaseline".
I also have a brown strap-sided coffin flask like the one pictured.Mine is 5" tall with '1510' double embossed on the bottom.By the mold lines on my bottles they date from 1890-1900.A good close-up picture of your bottles mould lines would be helpful to date your finds.
I'm not so sure the flask held medicine though, they were often used for alcoholic drinks.Hope this helps.

That could be. The brown has A67 embossed on the bottom, about 6" tall. It has rough seams that disappear in the neck. I have a couple of the Cheeseborough bottles. This one is very rough and out of shape with no embossing and very faint mold marks. I guess it could be of the same type, with the wide mouth. Thanks.
