Ended up today on a last minute dash to the Antique mall w/ Tom,....After some neck craning at a poorly displayed showcase, (with a roof leak overhead) We thought we spotted some pontils jammed in the back of the showcase. Once we found an attendant to open it up, sure enough, a couple of clean little pontiled slicks,... Priced right too!...THEN,....Tom made the grab of the day,....In amongst the junkers, he pulled out a small aqua med,...It still had contents and was fairly ugly at a glance...but it was a "Dr. Kilmers Herbal Extract for Uterine Injection", 1st one I've ever seen, and a good find after a soak..... I had to be content w/ the pontils....(just kidding, vr. happy), but at the counter they had a bonus deal where you reached into a bucket and grabbed a numbered ball, whatever number was marked was your final discount....I got lucky and grabbed the max. discount (20%)...so the pontils were had for 5$ each. Here they are...

Okay,...here's the question part,...studying the eight sided ointment style bottle, on the inside of the inward rolled lip, there's a small ring of ?amber glass? not sure what it is but appears to be inside the glass....odd...here's the best pic of it I could get.

It looks like a gold thread. It's definitely not a stain.

I will not make a public joke. It's just the medicine talking.[8|][:D]

Its pretty common to see some amber in lips of early aqua bottles. Probably some contamination from the lipping tool.
The kilmer bottle is a pretty good find.
