On my September trip from NY to VA I tried a 'shortcut' from US 522 to I-81. It was no shortcut due to the hills and turns but passed a terrific old store covered in soda signs. It wasn't open that day but I knew I would go that way again just to see what was inside.
Owner David let me in and I was not disappointed. David has been a collector and sometime seller of soda advertising for years. His store is open as a museum but many of the items are priced and others may be for sale if you ask.
I saw this great circa 1920 Queen Cola sign on my previous visit and was able to make a trade that brought the sign home with me. Queen Cola was based in Petersburg VA and bottled in a number of towns. The sign was found in Cumberland MD.
