Everyones emerging dig stories and pics have added to the already bad "springtime itch"I've been feeling, to dig! Fred and I were going to walk the creek up to our standby dump just to see if anything washed out with last weeks big thaw....He became tied up, so I drove up there today, parked and walked up to the dump. You can't even tell there was a thaw! Where there was one bank of earth exposed, The ground is hard as a stone three feet down...Anyhow a few pics. This dump is usually real obvious with big dirt mounds,...lots of exposed glass...You'd almost not realize there was a dump there. It's going to be awhile before we can dig.[;)]

Wow Joe, I can't believe you still have that much snow! We finally melted here, but might not be done quite yet.

Snow? What's that? It's 70º here and I have four pits probed out awaiting the OK. Soil is sooooft.

I feel for everyone that cannot dig yet!....It's been one of those winters here...There's still an honest 3 or 4 feet of snow up in the woods,...with deep frost. Up until last week there was another foot or two. Been awhile since we had such a long and sustained deep cold winter.
