Hi! I wonder if anyone can help me figure out what this
bottle might have been used for? It stands 6 6/16" high, has a
crudely applied lip, an open pontil on kick up base and I guess
a turn mold, as it has concentric circles around lower half of bottle.
Any idea on age, use or value? Thanks! [:)]

Looks like a liquor bottle of some type. Could you post a close up of the top. It would help in dating your bottle.

The top is called a laid on ring finish and was used prior to the 1860s and was common prior to the 1850s. The clear glass kinda throws me off though.

If it is European it could be much later.

No idea about the value. You just don't see this kind of bottle very often anymore.

I have seen a couple bottles that looked like this, in fact I sold one about a year ago that looked just like that. Mine had an outward rolled lip which looked like your photo but i cant tell if yours is one from the photo. Mine was thin glass, most likely a generic medicine of some type. They are found in Civil War camps quite often. That may be freeblown and formed with paddles.
Value isnt much i think i sold one for $20.
