Two new pontils

Got these two recently.I was surprised to ge a second chance offer from ebay on the clear one.Somebody won it and changed their mind.I was the second highest bidder, so the bottle was offered to me.I thought the price was good.It`s 8 1/2" tall with a tubular open pontil.Embossed Dr Jas M`Clintock`s on the front and Family on one side and Medicines on the other.I was curious to know what peoples thoughts were on letting this get sun colored.Do you think it would enhance it? Or would you keep it out of the sun?

The second bottle is a little light amber ink.I`m trying to build a collection of pontiled umbrellas. It seems the cones are going almost as high as the umbrellas.Even more in some cases.

That is a very nice bottle. Personally I'd keep it out of the sun - but it may not get any color from the sun anyway, if it's colorless lead or flint glass.

Keep it out of the sun. In the strictest sense, mint would mean not "sun colored amethyst" but "clear as blown".

Hi Bottlehead, I was wondering if the Mc Clintocks is flint glass Im no expert on it but to me (flintglass) usually looks clear with a touch of grey maybe someone else might know, but they sure are very nice all the same. Kevin
