I have a bottle that says The U.P.T.Co. NY. It has a skeletal elephant on the bottle too. The bottle is from around 1880s. Can anybody give me any kind of information? I dont even know what category the bottle is under.

Its normally listed as a medicine but it could be an extract or other product as far as I know.
Dont know what the UPT stands for.
Most likely from 1900 +/- 10yrs. They are mentioned in a court case in 1910.

I have dug bottels from the Union Pacific Tea Co. here in Rhode Island that could be what is, possibly a tea from Indian judging by the elephant.

I'd say you are probably correct. I see there are Union Pacific Tea pumpkin seed flasks with an elephant motif. Probably an extract similar to A&P extract bottles.
