I tried to look this one up in the American Breweries 2 book but could not find any information on it. Not Listed. I then did a search in hear & Nothing, Nada, Zilch. Bottle say's J. Winterhalter Saginaw Michigan. Also has the infamous Pure & Without Drugs or Poison Statement. Anybody know anything about this bottle? Bill? Nic? Anybody? THANKS, LEON.

Joseph WinterHalter owned a saloon in Saginaw in 1896 and then in 1909 he was a dealer in wholesale and retail wines, liquors and cigars and an agent for Kern's Port Huron beer and bottling works. The bottle was more than likely made for him when he owned the saloon. There's also a blob top from the same guy...

From here Leon...

Cool, Very Interesting, Looks like his is the smaller pint size & blob. Mine is a larger quart size & crown top. LEON.

Leon,
Reasonably common. It does come in a quart blob, too. If you look up Nics photos on here, you'll see pictures of a couple.

its the third most common Saginaw bottle next to j.g. Schemm and national crown tops.
It's a $15 dollar bottle.

They come in blobs pint and quart
Crowns pint and quart both tooled and machine made
A rarity would be an aqua one as I have seen shards but never a whole one.

Do not ever rely on books for info on Michigan bottles. Their is not a single good resource for good info on Michigan bottles especially Saginaw and bay city. If you want info about those, see the specialists such as bill or myself.

not a pint blob for 15. i said a quart crown for 15. a pint crown would run you about 5 bucks though. i know where you can get a quart blob for $60.00. its been setting on the same shelf at the same antique shop since i started collecting. which may just say something about its rarity[;)]
