What do fruit jars and rubber rings have to do with Victorian Christmas lights? Should that conversation be taken to a different heading? Just my observation.
I'm trying to part with almost everything and I came across what I think is one of these that came out of the house across the street. The house had all it's old light fixtures in it and this is a beauty and sure looks like one of these unusual Xmas/Fairy/Night lights... The white frosted designs of flowers and lattice work are so beautiful.
Were these actually lights from old homes? This has to be over 100 years old if not more. I need to check out a few more things. I have another glass dish fixture that is amber almost looks like a hat and must have hung from chains. I realize I just LOVE glass and do people buy these?
Any ideas on how to research this?
Thanks, Christmas is ALMOST HERE AGAIN!

I dug most of these old lights traded for one or two.
My favorite is the dog it has a yellowish tint. The one has a face on both sides.
here's some pics
Those are excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love them.
I think I have the wrong idea as mine is an actual light fixture over 100 years old that looks like
some of the ones shown but with beautiful detail. I looking for a camera that is charged so I could post a pic.
I actually found another aound swirlled glass ball that I put in the top of an angel vase and it's BEAUTIFUL!
They may just be Keepers and I'll have to mark the bottoms so my kids don't just toss them out or put them in a brown
bag with someones name on it. []
The friend who gave them to me is an interior decorator and told me to take them to a certain lighting store and them would give me a lot of money for the lot.
She was helping me out in return for other acts of kindness. I'm unable to drive now so at a yard sale they won't move. The beauty of the glass is hard to explain.
I LOVE GLASS!!!
Now if I can just get back to my old house I got permission to dig away.... []
