I think it’s pretty…. I collect what I like. If it bites me then it’s coming home with me! I have a few that I just like but never was sure of what they were. To me it looks like an 1850+ish - 1890’s olive oil or condiment to help cover the taste of meat, kept cold by the methods they used? I do like that color- very different. I love that shape that screams Victorian! I would try and get him to come down on that…. I would offer $20, seems like a fair price! Enjoy that vacation!

I borrowed an illustration from ANTIQUE GLASS BOTTLES by Willy Van den Bossche for comparison. I have an extra of these books, still in the publisher's shrink-wrap. Let me know if you want it at considerably less than the Amazon price.
