Thought I'd post a few additions to my utility bottle collection......first is a Baltimore puce utility that I purchased from Chris at the Baltimore show......
Here is the description of the snuff from the ebay listing: "Diminutive Snuff Bottle, only 3.5" tall and a base diamter of 2 3/8". An awesome flared lip in perfect condition. The early boxey form has classic chamfered corner panels and an open pontil scar base. The coloration is a reddish amber typical of Willington, Westford or even Stoddard. I have also seen these shades from Baltimore. It was acquired from another advanced Connecticut collector who got it from an old-timer in New Hampshire. The base matches that of a Coventry Snuff (As seen in Harry Hall White's antiques articles on Coventry and it's products) Wherever it was made, there's one thing for sure, it's rare, it's beautiful and it's drop-dead mint with that delicate lip treatment. Circa 1840-1850."
