Howzit Tony,
Nice pit you got there, I like that pocket with all those bottles...I got to start taking some pictures of some of my digs, I kinda of superstitious thinking by bringing my camera I might jinx myself, I usually take pictures when I bring the bottles home...Looking forward for my day-off so I can throw some dirt around too.Bottle show is this week already, how fast time flies, taking a few day's off for the show, too bad you couldn't come down, we could have probably sneak away and dug for a few hours, place is still happening, every time I go back the place looks different if you know what I mean.
Aloha Earl
Howzit Earl,
I really enjoy this spot. Its got some good age and bottles from all over. Only thing is, its just to old for local sodas. Mostly Mainland stuff, but it makes it interesting to learn about it.
Funny you say that about the camera. I always joking with my wife about that but this time I said I going takem.[]
I wish I took my camera with me in the past. I had some really good digs back in the 90's with some beautiful scenery and all but now only memories.
The show is right around the corner. I would love to go but would like go dig with you even more! lol
That cut / faceted piece of colorless glass looks like a broken decanter stopper.
The black glass 'op' base looks like an English wine / spirit / ale bottle of the 1850s - 60s. Weird kind of pontil that always looks refired and very smooth. It's only recently I've decided they really are pontil marks, after finding a few where the pontil had stuck too hard and pulled the kick up out of shape.
