I met my Old Man halfway between his house and mine today for lunch. Naturally I had to swing into the one Antique Shop in town to see if my buddy Phil Marks from Vermont had any deals in his booth. Although I dont collect Inks, I couldnt walk out the door without buying this rich aqua, embossed Cone. what struck me about it, is that its embossed to begin with. W. E. BONNEY / SO' HANOVER / MASS. On the reverse is a large raised label panel, likely for a label. Ringed shoulder, tooled lip. Smooth base. I've seen the Bonney Barrels, but have never seen a Cone. In general, we dont see many embossed cones period. Has anyone seen one of these sell, and have any idea of value? I found one old listing in a Kovel's Bottle Book, but we all know what thats worth. Here's a couple pictures. Opinions welcome. Thanks.
