Deldig, I am very new at this. I was digging some weeds out to plant flowers and have hit a dump, huge. Also my dogs are always digging up old bottles in our woods, we just bought the place and it is new, but in old farming area in DE. Anyway, I have dug up some DE pharmacy bottles if you are interested, and many others, though most were damaged, some are perfect. Let me know if you are interested.
Alan,
I sent an email with the info - I didn't see the reply button till I sent the email - as I said I am new at this! Anyway, you can respond either way to me, thanks!
Jon,
If Alan is not interested in the bottles, I will certainly let you know. In all fairness, I think he should be able to get first shot at them. I am planning on digging some more because I am expanding my garden, I will post any finds I happen upon them. Thanks!
I have three milk bottles in 1/2 pint, pint and quart
sizes, the pint is damaged around the lid area. They are printed
in ink with Frear, Dover, Del on the front and have sayings on the
back. The quart size has a monkey and a funny saying.
It reads:Charlie ChimpCharlie Chimp just loves to clown. He's healthy and well fed.He drinks a quart of milk right down. Then puts the bottle on his head!
I also found a green flat bottle with Pinex Trademark raised on
the front in perfect condition with a diamond on the bottom. I
found two round green Rumford raised letter bottle, and also a round
bottle slightly bigger with a bigger lip and it seems to have a
very slight pink color to me.
And one big bottle with a raised devil on the bottom and the word Pluto underneath. They are all in perfect condition. If you are interested in any of these, please let me know, thanks!
To everyone:
In the list strayberrylou has given there is mention of a bottle with a devil embossed on the bottom with pluto underneath. Is anyone familiar with this bottle???
thanks for the info Woddy..
I found a number of bottles in a hidden cubbard in the cellar wall of a old home in Chicago, and that was one of them. Do you know if it is of value??
