WEBCO Sparkling Beverages 1959

while search for beach glass, came across an undamaged bottle labeled WEBCO Sparkling Beverages. The lable appears to be etched on the glass as there are no edges to where you could peel it off. the bottom of the bottle is stamped on one side with a '59' and the other side is stamped 1462 and CONT. 8 FL OZ. There is also a small notch in the glass toward the base of the bottle. I have googled for hours and have not been able to come up with any history on this bottle. It was found on Staten Island, NY.

If anyone is familiar with this brand, I would love to have some additional detail. I will try to post a photo soon.

WEBCO is probably West End Brewing Company of Utica, NY. During Prohibition they bottled soda. I guess they may have continued the soda works after that time. I think I recall that their Utica Club brand beer started out as Utica Club soda. Try looking up the brewery history and it might have something there. Others on the forum may have more info.
