They look like beverage bottles from around 1890 - 1920.. I've seen them labeled for beer and for malted milk.. without labels it's impossible to know exactly..

They look like turn-mold bottles and also possibly held mineral water.

I know of at least three mineral water companies in VT that used them for just that, mineral water. I've always wondered where they were made.

I've found dozens of those through the years in the creek I look, to the point that I just throw 'em up on the bank. I did find one that had a "whittled" look even though it's a turn mold, and full of bubbles, so that one's on the shelf. If I could find as many embossed bottles as those things, I'd be doing good. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be dissing your find, it just has gotten old for me to feel something in the sand, and pull ANOTHER one out!

Sorry, I didn't say I didn't like 'em; I just got to where I didn't know what to do with 'em anymore. They're a beautiful color, and surprisingly consistent in darkness for a handblown bottle. You'd think a real dark or a real light one would turn up after a while. What's the embossing on the soda on the left, and what town is the Coke from? Oh, and check the "embed picture in post" box; that'll do away with those pesky attachment windows.
