What is this bottle? stamped G & R on front how old is it? and is it worth getting cleaned?

The lip treatment makes me lean towards a cologne, bay rum, or toilet water type product.

I don't know anything about the initials and I've never seen that bottle design before.

Looks old, like 1870-1880's era.

Where did you get it?

I found it at antique store looks dug not my style of collecting but knew it was old thanks for info so far

Your bottle is a ketchup from Philadelphia. I have one and wondered for several years what it was until I saw one with a label. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the initials stand for! By the way, it comes in at least two sizes. Mine is 8" tall, and is the smaller of the two that I've seen. Hope this helps.

I looked in the Zumwzlt book and located bottle with a similar profile, A G initials and the botthe is square not rectangular. It held Olive Oil which seems more likely than ketchup / catsup to me. Even perfume / cologne seems more likely. Can we get a better look see at the embossing?
