Wow, never seen anything like that before. Are there any legible markings on the leather label or the tags? Is that a zipper running around the middle? Almost has a military look to it, but I can't even begin to imagine what it could be. Could you post a picture looking straight down at the top? I'm trying to figure out what's going on with those three spouts, do they all lead into one compartment or is it three compartments like those combination oil and vinegar bottles?
As said by CanadianBottles, it does look military. Somewhat reminiscent of a WW1 French Canteen. Both spouts went into one container but one spout was for filling and the other for pouring. Does this have the same use? I believe the French soldiers used to stuff an oil skin canteen into the larger spout so they could have both wine and water in the same canteen. Is this a more fragile version of that? More pictures and info should hopefully answer all of our questions.
I was thinking it looked like laboratory glass too, I'm wondering if maybe it was something that had a risk of exploding and the canvas was there to keep the glass from flying everywhere.
