What the heck is this thing?

I found it almost 2 years ago in a northeast ohio dump. No clue what it is and would like to find out. It’s 12 inches long with some damage at the bottom end. I think it looks like a cane handle.

What you have is a glass cane, these were often made at glasshouse to show the blowers skill. It is missing about 18" of length. They are quite collectable and quite sought after. I have included a screen shot from google images and it shows the handle of your cane pretty much.

thanks! I kinda answered my own question there Lol. That’s to bad about the damage, I’m guessing it got tossed once they broke it. Amazing someone would use something so fragile as a walking cane.

Even broken ones are collectible so hopefully you saved them.

that color looks like a midwestern glasshouse for sure - some of them are freaking awesome.
