A good tool to use is as one piece 3 pronged garden fork about 12" long ,moulded out of heavy plastic,its great cause it won't scratch.Also a garden rake bis great for clearing
the excess debris,and a garden fork(big 5 prong) for getting grass clumps from the surface.
When digging with something big .......as soon as you hear the sound of glass use the small plastic fork.
