When the Tree's Talk You Better Listen!

Hi Everyone
On Sunday, Three of us went to dig at a spot we dig regularly. We started opening up a hole and after a few hours we heard a creek from a tree about forty yards away from where we were digging. Butch says, that things gonna come down. We dug for about two more hours and two of us got out to take a beer break. Creek again and just like that this thing snapped off about ten feet from the ground and we went a scrambling. Branches crashing to the ground all around me! Butch never even had a chance to get out of the hole. This thing narrowly missed him, Only one lump on the head from a small branch. It pushed and smashed my two shovels about three foot under the ground. Either someone up there is out to get us or someone's looking out for us. We were shaking. Amazingly we escaped!

Wow thats a crazy story! Love the pics. George Matt and I had about the same experience except 2 large trees feel on us and a larrrrrge alvalanch!

You two are lucky, ya gotta be careful. When that happened too us I didn't get out fast enough and got stuck under tons of branches, thankfully not any of the 3 ft wide trunks. Here's a pic of the aftermath. It used to be one big cliff but all the trees and dump collapsed at the same time. That's Ry!

Hey Bottleman
Thats what was so odd, there was very little wind, thank God! We most likely wouldn't have heard it. The tree was about 40 yards away and not even in the dump. That hole was started last year and sat there for ummteen times we dug there since, We just out of the blue decided we were going to dig there for a change.
