Hey guys, was given this bottle and some other decanter's by one of my clients yesterday. It isn't my area of bottles. Any idea on the date of this? Value? I know the paper label is rough. It is a screw top, but was the first scotch to switch to screw tops. (yes, I can google). Just don't know if people collect these with no contents basically and any more info and rarity/value.

The white horse is actually painted on too, so, I think that's pretty cool in its own right. May end up ripping off the paper to display it with the white horse only. Well thanks for your info, and pictures if surfOne comes along.

Hey Anthony,

I saw the 1924 date for the introduction of the screw top. The registration numbers are not leading me anywhere, yet. Could you, please, take nice clear close-ups of the labels? Does the name Brown Vintners, as importers appear anywhere?

Hey Anthony,

I believe it's post prohibition, as Browne Vintners was organized just after. I think they had some of their roots in prohibition running activities, though.

They went on to be big time importers of some top brands.

HERE's a 1945 photo of their lobby at Rock Plaza.
