Yesterday's finds

Since the cold weather has settled in, decided to take a walk along the railroad tracks to see what I could find. Not much worth anything, but I figured I would share. I would like to see a close up of that ???? one. It appears to be a spool of some sort but the hole appears strange. I had dozens of spools at one time.

Botlguy, I figured that it was a spool too, but haven't found anything that looks like it. Here are some close ups. It has "safety" printed twice on the one side.

That is definitely an unusual one. The pin it fits on would have had "ears" that would slide in and then twist 90 degrees and lock the spool in place. I never had one like it and sort of specialized in spools when I had my insulator collection. Nice get! I'll see if I can get a picture of the pin.

Other than the rubber ones, that's a nice haul. I'm interested in more info of that odd one also. ~Mike
