Latest find 1923 op klee soda

The rain is keeping from the flint so I was hiking an old dump and came across this nice embossed o.p. klee bottle from Dayton, Ohio. It will look nice w/ my other embossed sodas. fldwlkr

    This symbol

Wheelah is correct, it is Owens/Illinois manufacture mark. They simplified it in the 50's so that is one of the marks I look for. Numbers to the left are plant numbers, numbers to the right imply date. There is a lot of good info out there on this company(myinsulators.com). fldwlkr

    Fruit bottle, any information?

Ice, My eyes are fading but if that is an I in a diamond its from the Illinois Glass Co./Alton Ill. They used the ABM from 1873-1929. I'd guess it was made in 25 or 26 by the digit to the right of the manufacture mark(again my eyes is that a 5 or a 6?). Probably collectible for anybody into...

Im new to this, I found these bottles on my first dig please help!!!! What is are they!!!

If you are new to the collecting thing don't leave that site just yet. The bottles from the mid 1900's are not worth alot of money but the 6 1/2 oz pop bottles are collectible... I have buddies wanting any hobble skirt cokes I don't want. I already mentioned the colored glass stuff. No you won't...

My buddy found this, check it out

I collect artifacts and that sure looks like a paleolithic blade to me. If it is legit it is worth $. That said, I have a nice collection of hobble skirt cokes I'd trade him for. Many bottles for one rock... He should get it authenticated and appraised fldwlkr

Im new to this, I found these bottles on my first dig please help!!!! What is are they!!!

Lj, The Cheesebrough bottle is an old vaseline bottle. I'm guessing all these bottle have threads on top and probably are from the 30's & 40's. Are there any (punt) marks on the bottom. You can often date a bottle with the stuff the put on the bottoms of them. I find some nice colored glass in...

    Things I've picked up

It's a flake of flint. Possibly a scraper, possibly a chunk they knocked off when making something else. I collect artifacts, fossils as well as glass. fldwlkr

Sorry 'bout that. Had them tiny for another site. I'll get the camera out and take some bigger ones. Great time of year for foraging in Ohio. fldwlkr

Anchor Hocking mark on Coca Cola bottle?

The straight sided cokes of the 20's are of value. If it is a hobble skirt the date will probably be on the side of the bottle. fldwlkr

    Found your site

While hiking the backwaters of Ohio I keep picking up interesting glass. The colored glass makes a nice window display and the old pop bottles are fun to collect. Most of my stuff is post 1900 w/ a hand blown beer bottle being the only exception. Hope to get and provide information on bottles...
