We spent last Friday night before graduation in Milroy that has a great little antique mall. While there I got my mom to buy this Adams Rose desert plate as part of my Christmas present. I've picked up a couple bargain examples of the kind and age of the thousands of shards I've found at Stonetown to help interpret their story.
Didn't get a bottle but I got some bottle books. KANSAS BOTTLES and ARKANSAS BOTTLES by Johnnie Fletcher and WESTERN BITTERS BOTTLES by Jeff Wichmann. The Kansas and Arkansas books are quite comprehensive. There is an Oklahoma book too but not available at this time.I also got a trail camera for deer scouting. I put it up by my hunting stand yesterday and can't wait to go back and look at the pictures.
That's cool there's some great books out there and it pays to be informed. I was supposed to get a lay persons guide to archeology book but it hasn't showed up yet. I always wanted one of those deer cameras to see whats out in our woods!
I went to my dads and we both got something really cool. My brother totally surprised us by just showing up at the door.I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Based on what you've mentioned about your dad lately that's pretty cool, hanging with family even though sometimes stressful is what is needed this time of year.
Here is a picture from my deer camera. This is a 9 point buck. Nice buck but not the one I want to shoot. I see him alot and he is not afraid of me. I have nicknamed him buddy because he is so friendly. My hunting blind is in the background across the pond.
People don't buy me bottles unfortunately. The ones I like are a bit pricey, though, I did give my sister in-law "one of those yellow bottles....... You know the big ones" she said.
