Since Ive been collecting I have only seen two Dr. Craigs bottles in person and very few on ebay. Can anyone tell me if these bottles are considered rare or scarce? Also I see alot about Warner starting out his business but very little about Dr. Craigs business. Does anyone know how long Dr. Craig was in business? Were all his bottles amber in color and sold from the Rochester NY area? Here's a pic of one I have. I have never seen another one like it. Ive seen different Craig bottles but never any like the one I own. Im sure they are out there. Does anyone else in this forum own one or seen one like it?

Lot of good questions you have there. The short answer is all the Craig bottles are at least very uncommon and several qualify as truly rare.

All the early ones are amber as far as I know. There is a later Dr Craigs New Discovery Rochester NY that is aqua.

They are all from Rochester as far as I can tell. You dont see them much on fleabay, more have sold at Hecklers, Glassworks, etc...

I think I may have one like yours shown in the Medicine Nexus ...

Its a good one but not the rarest of the Craig variants.

Nice bottle, it reminds me of this bottle I dug a couple years ago.

Wow they all bear a striking resemblance to the Warners bottles
Probably no accident
Maybe the generic version of their day

I went to antiqemedicines.com and saw the bottle you were reffering to. That bottle is actually the same bottle that I own before I had it cleaned and some scratch removal done. I drop it off with Jennifer to be restored at the last Somersworth NH. bottle show and she did a great job making this bottle look more eye appealing. It must have been buried in a dump full of rocks.

A friend of mine found the version with the embossed lungs while diving once. It's a very cool bottle.
