Finally went back to the spot. Wandered around for a few hours and looked through perhaps 100 or so bottles on the surface. They were all probably dug up by the OG diggers (probably back in the 90s). In my post-digging research, I figured out that the dump is probably from an old row of houses that you can still visit at Lyon Arboretum. The dump itself is located where the old Paradise Park used to be. Anyway, I didn't find much. The OG diggers literally took anything of value. Heck, couldn't even find an embossed anything that was whole! Did take a nice blue sake and an old Japanese beer. Both blank. Also took a 50s ACL Canada Dry (pretty much blank at this point) and a blank Honolulu Soda Water Co. bottle (just had the Maltese cross on the base).
I couldn't even find a new hole to dig. Every square inch of the place was sunken with old holes. Where ever there weren't holes there were no bottles to dig. Even if there was a spot, I was beaten back by the incessant rain and low visibility due to the tree cover. Gonna head back there once the dry season rolls around but until then I have to find somewhere else to dig.
