I found this bottle on a dive yesterday. The painted label has been worn away, but I can make out "Orange Crush" and "Company Bottle" inside a diamond and more interestingly "Esta Botella Protege Refrescant Y Delicado Sabor de La Fruta" which loosely translated means this bottle protesct the refreshing and delicate taste of the fruit (I think, my Spanish is muy mal!). I never knew that Orange Crush was bottled in Central America.

Actually I might have been bottled in Argentina. The Mexican versions have an arch with crushy on the shoulder; however, they were bottled in other latin American countries as well. Interesting find.

the side detail. I know that they also used this same type design, only completely embossed, on the earlier clear krinkle bottles as well.

They later dropped the embossed crushy and kept the arc.

I just consulted Michael Rosman's Orange crush book and found your bottle in it. He states that it is from Equador. If you look along the bottom of the back diamond you may see the remains of the location. His example doesn't have company bottle on it; however, it matches yours a lot better than the rest.

"This bottle protects the delicate fruit flavor from the harmful effects of light" is what the American version say on the back, your translation sounds close.

Thanks for the information on the bottle. Any idea how old it is? I found this one at a dive site that I usually find bottles from the early 50s, so I assumed this one was early 50s, but any further info would be appreciated.
