According to my third edition (2002) ACL book, it list a "Blossomland" bottle as follows ...

NAME DATE SIZE BOTTLERS CITY 1998 - 2001 Value/Rarity

Blossomland 1953 7 oz St. Joseph, MO Very Rare

Too bad your example is in such rough shape ... but, like you said ... still a keeper.

Thanks sodapopbob!!! finally I find a rare bottle but its in such bad condition...believe it or not I found 3 others out there...1 was broken and the other 2 were in worse shape than that one! Its a spot I'll be going back to for sure!! Very old foundation there, we mostly got interested in all the old metal gear we found and left most the bottles....Found an old handle for a pump and a auger and a few other rusty metal items of interest (wagon parts I'm guessing). Also thought it was very cool to dig up parts of a very old ladies shoe...the high button up style...but just fell to pieces after I dug it out [:(] Check it out the pics in unexpected discoveries if ya want!! I think I posted a few of the old foundation to on the digging and finding forum.

Madman...I have a dump I posted pics of awhile back that was in my back woods(where the liniment was)...yesterday I posted an old foundation, i found over the weekend....strangely I found the soda bottles and few other cute little ones that look a bit older...and then started finding parts of a old buggy or wagon...have those posted in unexpected discoveries I think, also a few are posted in the digging and finding Forum.
I think there's several layers of different generations at this new foundation...just depends on where I start. It's a huge area...it'll take me some time to work that area...and I couldn't decide where to start so I was all over the place checking out this and that....
I also figure this foundation has to have a well, cesspit, or privy of some type on it as well....just haven't found it yet either. I'll be out there next chance I get...supposed to rain for the next day or 2 tho so I am trying to wait patiently to get back out there!!![:D]

Heres a front view of foundation...

I have been following your thread with interest - it's kind of like reading a book to see what happens next. And since I'm an earlybird, I usually do my online stuff first thing in the morning. Anyway, I was curious about the perfume bottle you found, and decided to click around and see what I could find. I realize the photo below is not your bottle, but I show it as an example of the dozens I have been looking at, and thought you might be interested in one of the associated links. Many of them claim to be made of crystal, (which I personally know nothing about), and come from Czechoslovakia. Most originally had glass stoppers.

Maybe someone here can identify it. If not, perhaps the lady who maintains the link below will recognize it and be able to tell you something about it. The best part of all is that if yours is crystal, it could be worth quite a bit to a perfume collector. And possibly even if it isn't crystal. Most of the bottles on this particular site list in the $150.00 price range. Check it out and see what you think. I haven't looked at all of them yet. I'm also curious to know if your bottle has any markings on it, like the word ... "Czech." ???

Good luck ... and keep us posted.

Thanks,

SPB

I wanted to follow this thread, and thought I would contribute the image below of a "Victor" plaque similar to the one you found. It's too bad your's didn't clean up as nice as the one shown here.

Yeah theres quite a bit of erosion on mine....soaked it in WD40 for awhile then scrubbed it...and scrubbed it!! Thats as good as it got. But tonight I will be cleaning up the bigger stuff and see how that turns out....I've been told by others on here I have a 1800's to TOC foundation here!! I'm excited to see what more will come from it [:)]
