I found two more KC sodas in the last week. The Eppersons Carbonating Bottling Co I found about 70 miles south of KC while on a mid-day break from my job with the Boy Scouts. I have an earlier hutch from this company. This one is a machine made job with no markings. Without consulting my notes I think they were out of business by 1925. The other one I have never seen before and know of the company only through city directories. William V Sandhaus owned this company from like 1904 to 1911. William was an adventurer. When he was 17 he joined the army and fought in the Philippines for three years. He later became a lawyer in Kansas City. He was married twice and had a legal battle over his will because his adopted children wanted part of the take when he died. It is a hand tooled crown top with a conspicuous O N on the front of the bottle. I would guess that it was made at the Obear-Nestor plant in Kansas City, the successor company to the Interstate Glass Company I have been researching. Scott
