Today i picked up a Light green, British beer bottle. it was embossed with " Clarkson's Old Brewery"and had an elephant and the words Barnsley Ltd on it. the peculiar thing about it is that it is an applied screw top but the threading is on the inside of the top. does anyone have any other info...
Cowseatmaize, its not a hutch, although i wish it was. its a late 1800's crown top. pretty typical bottle, i think what happened is some screws or nails, other small iron pieces fuzed together in the bottom.

I have a nice aqua blue soda bottle that when i cleaned up, i found that it wasnt a glob of gunk in the bottom it was a 2.5 inch long 1 inch wide chunk of rusted iron or other ferric metal. any ideas on how to remove without destroying the bottle.
I picked this up today from an estate seller in town and figured somebody here would have some good intel. it stands about 5 1/2 - 6 inches tall, has a nice pontle base, lots of bubbles but primarily on the lower half. the seam stops at about the shoulders and the handle was definately applied...
