Jackson Drug Co., Talladega Springs, Ala.

As a soda bottle collector, I did not expect to be overwhelmed by medicine bottles at the Bessemer, Alababa, show or anywhere else. But these came from a long gone drug store at near-by Talladega Springs, and I kept going back again & again to buy more.

Thanks to Tom Lines for the Bessemer show.

Tom Lines put on another exceptional show this past weekend in Bessemer, Alabama. There was a great Coke display which featured all the known Alabama Hutch bottles, as well as numerous examples of rare small-town Cokes. A great time was had by sellers and buyers alike (me especially!). I...

Lime Cola, Lineville, Ala. (need info)

In my search for Lineville, Alabama, bottles I heard of one I was unfaniliar with. The only description I have is that it was an ACL, and somewhere on this Lime Cola bottle were the words "25th Anniversary" and "Lineville, Ala.". I have no doubt that other cities had this anniversary...

    Searching for bottles: LINEVILLE, ALA.

Like many small towns in the early 1900s, Lineville, Alabama, had a variety of soda bottlers, and, as usual, these bottles are now difficult to find. I am searching for anything related to bottling during that period in Lineville, especially the bottles, both ACL & embossed. Some of the...

Dr. Pepper "PEPPO" & a Pepsi by Orange Crush

On the bottom of the 12oz. PEPPO is 'DR. PEPPER BOTTLING CO. Ft. Myers, Fla. LG37'. On the bottom of the Pepsi: 'ORANGE CRUSH BOTT. CO. Rocky Mount, N.C. 12OZ' with a 7 to the right of the Owens mark. Just a couple of oddities found in the backwoods of Alabama.

Info on Coca-Cola Camp Hill, Alabama

This year I am going to invest in a good reference book on Alabama sodas. The ones I have now are limited, and dont show anything on this crown top Coke. I've been holding out for an updated Coke book from Bill Porter, which I hope is forthcoming. The bottle has REGISTERED across the...

Is this Dillon, S.C. Coke any count?

Got this bottle in a deal with some others. It was the kind of deal where you took all or none, but I did get the one I wanted. There are two pencil point dings on the side. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. If it's a common one I'll just set it aside.

This is a side embossed Pepsi from Montgomery, Alabama. Condition is great. The word ''BOTTLIGN' is misspelled. I do not have access to any of the Pepsi reference books, so I hope someone can help me find an approximate value on this bottle. A friend owns one & is looking to sell or trade...

Hobbleskirt question (Base lettering & dating)

The bottle on the left is a Pat'd Nov. 16, 1915, and from the absence of a manufacturers mark or date code, made between 1918-19. The second bottle is an Xmas Coke; at the base is LGW28 which means (to Me anyway) it was made in 1928 by Laurens of South Carolina. Is the smaller lettering...

    Tall Chero-Cola swirl

I can't seem to find out much about this bottle. According to Cheromike, at some time the company tried streamlining the six ounce Chero-Cola swirl bottle in order to get 30 in a case. This one is from Phenix City, Ala., and there is supposed to be another of these skinny Cheros from...
