    Random thrift shop buy

GREAT NEWS!! I found the camera. BAD NEWS the damn cord is still missing in action. Making my life as useless as possible. It is similar to the bottle on the Mr Bottles website, but not so similar at the same time. The embossing is bigger, not colored, doesn't say La Crosse under it, isn't a...

    Random thrift shop buy

My g/f has misplaced the camera so I can't post a picture of it right now. It's a plain clear glass soda style bottle, mold made abd very heavy for it's size. It has a lot of tiny bubbles in it, so small I don't think a camera would pick them up. Just has "Michel" embossed on it in...

    Woodford Reserve 4.50L?

I can't tell you about the bottle, but I can tell you they make a DAMN fine bourbon. My favorite in fact.

Found my oldest bottle! Insulators on poles & a broken jug - boo!

Out of reach you say............................ Edit: It would be totally awesome to get the entire top arm of the pole and make a SWEET coat rack out of it, even if you had to replace the insulators.

    Clorox Bottles

Although Clorox bottles are not rare at all, I'm sure many of us have them in their collection. I for one, don't collect strictly for monetary value. I accidentally found this site that Clorox themselves put out to help us weirdos date their finds. It breaks down everything from cork verses...

Reverse Bottle hunting : What came into my sick twisted mind. Go bury yourself and wait for a bottle to dig you up.

    Mountain Dew Question

Thank you so much for the help. My grandfather worked for and owned his own Pepsi truck for quite a few years prior to them going on strike 20 or so years ago. He thought it was before Pepsi purchased them, your info seems to agree with him. I guess Wade, Greg and Barbara are just going to...

    Newburgh Bottling Depot

Sweet blob bro. I just recently found, but have yet to actually make it there an antique shop about 10 minutes from me called "Bottle Shop Antiques". With a name like that, it HAS to be fricken sweet. http://www.designsponge.com/2008/07/bottle-shop-antiques.html When I do actually make it...

Couple more insulators for my collection

I haven't done it with insulators, but I've had success with bottles using hickory nut shells as an abrasive that won't mar the glass. I got the idea because they use pulverized walnut shells in sand blasters when a more delicate piece is being stripped. I use hickory nuts because I don't care...

Couple more insulators for my collection

That's right where I left them. I have to find better hiding spots.

    Need some advice

From inside the house, stand in the back door and look around. Imagine that you have to go and you have to go NOW. Walk to how ever far away you think can make it with out going in your pants and start digging.

    Mountain Dew Question

Why are there personal names on the bottle. I've seen others, with other names on them. Mine says, "Wade, Greg & Barbara". Also what circa is this printing? Before or after Pepsi acquired them in 64?

    Stormville NY Flea MArket

A few towns over from me, there's a field that once a month has a massive flea market. This is what I grabbed while I was there. 16 OZ Clorox to go with my newly acquired Clorox gallon jug Green/blue insulator I grabbed because it was a different shape than the others I own. A...
