Old Blue McKesson's Bottle w/ Tin Cap, "Baby Bear" Bottle, & something else...?

So, my uncle was at an auction and bot a lot of 6 boxes where he didn't knwo the contents. Some of the stuff was glass bottles, he knew I collected them so he gave 'em to me. Some of the stuff is pretty common, but some stuff was odd... I'd love any help I could get in identifying this...

    So, what do you drink?

Pop? Beer? Does it affect what you collect? I like Coca~Cola, Dr. Pepper, & just abotu any kind of Root Beer the most. Although, every once in a while, I crave an Orange Crush. As far as beer, I like Yuengling the most, but Straub is coming up there as a close second. I do like...

    Wow! 1860's Yuengling Bottle

I was looking on eBay for Yuengling bottles, and if I had $75 to spend on a bottle, I'd totally get this... http://cgi.ebay.com/1860s-YUENGLING-S-BEER-BOTTLE-POTTSVILLE-PA_W0QQitemZ220105916979QQihZ012QQcategoryZ563QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Is that a fair price?

    Vernor's?

Ever had Vernor's Original Ginger Soda? Man, that stuff makes an upset stomach feel great. Last time I had a stomach bug, I accidentally got that instead of Ginger Ale, and it turned out to be a happy mistake! Anyone have any antique Vernor's bottles?

Faygo Black Cherry - Red Tabs?

Long story short, I have a history of writing e-mails & letters to companies with strange requests purely for my own amusement. It's fun. I think Sheetz has a file on me. I've written to car companies to explain that "turn signals don't work" on half of the cars out there, I've also gotten a...

    Cataloging?

Do you catalog your collection? I only have a small one... thought it might be cool to keep a log of them, maybe some photos, where I got 'em, and a history if I can find one... but man, that seems like quite a time-consuming undertaking!

    Cherikee Red?

Remember Cherikee Red? I used to drink it at my Grandparents when I was a wee lil' lad. I didn't know it still existed until I got it out of a pop machine at WAL*MART the other day. It's apparently made my the American Bottling Company, who is somehow part of Cadbury-Schweppes Bottling...

    Finding... & Digging?

So, my cousins informed me that they see bottles & junk all the time while they're out hunting. Anyone ever find anything good this way? I might have to go with 'em some time. Digging? So, I've seen that people dig in dumps, & privys, & what-not... Do you just walk up to someone's door...

So, what got you into it?

I'm still trying to figure out how I got into it, other than just stuff catching my eye at an antique store. How'd you get into it?

    Some of my stuff...

Anyone know where I can read a history on some of these bottles saying they're bottled by Coca-Cola, but not quite Coke? I know, a lot of them aren't antiques... yet.

I have a bunch of stuff...

I have a bunch of junk on my "bottle" shelf (& elsewhere) that's not exactly bottles. Here's some of the more interesting stuff... Well, this one was a bottle, but now it's a cheese-tray or some thing. I got it at a church rummage sale. A neat little cobalt oil lamp... I guess this is a...

    So, cleaning...

I see a lot of different advice on cleaning, & what's best... Somone suggested to clean the inside of the bottle, I get some small stones & dish soap & just shake it around. Is this sound advice? Does dish soap work in general? Which of the chemicals listed in the other threads is...

Cany anyone help a newbie identify any of these?

Is anything here old/rare/odd or anything like that? I know I need to get some better individual close-ups of a lot of my stuff.

    Hello...

Hello, I'm new (obviously). I don't know how I got into collecting bottles, but I guess I'd have enough now to say it's a collection. I like looking in antique stores, and usually the bottles and glass stuff catch my eye... and all the one's I've bought have been in a nice low price range. I...
